چکیده

The present study investigated the intracanal decontamination and apical extrusion of bacteria debris from root canals instrumented with rotary reciprocating systems (ProDesign Logic or ProDesign R), different file diameters using conventional syringe irrigation (CSI) passive ultrasonic (PUI). Eighty extracted mandibular premolars were contaminated Enterococcus faecalis randomly assigned to eight experimental groups according canal instrumentation technique employed (n = 10): G1: Prodesign 25.06; G2: R G3 G4 same single-file systems, respectively, 35.05 CSI. Influence of File Motion on Shaping, Apical Debris Extrusion and Dentinal Defects: A Critical Review

Advances in endodontics have enabled the evolution of file manufacturing processes, improving performance beyond that of conventional files. In the present study, systems manufactured using state of the art methods and possessing special properties related to NiTi alloys (i.e., CM-Wire, M-Wire and R-Phase) were selected. The aim of this review was to provide a detailed analysis of the literatur...

Influence of apical patency and cleaning of the apical foramen on periapical extrusion in retreatment.

This study evaluated the influence of apical patency, root filling removal technique and cleaning of the apical foramen, concerning the amount of debris extruded during root canal retreatment. Forty mandibular incisors were randomly assigned to 4 groups - GIM (n=10), GIIM (n=10), GIPT (n=10) and GIIPT (n=10), which were named according to leaving (I) or not (II) apical patency during canal prep...

comparison of apical extrusion of debris by using single-file, full-sequence rotary and reciprocating systems

objectives: during root canal preparation, apical extrusion of debris can cause inflammation, flare-ups, and delayed healing. therefore, instrumentation techniques that cause the least extrusion of debris are desirable. this study aimed to compare apical extrusion of debris by five single-file, full-sequence rotary and reciprocating systems. materials and methods: one hundred twenty human mandi...

Apical extrusion of intracanal bacteria following use of two engine-driven instrumentation techniques.

AIM To evaluate the number of bacteria extruded apically from extracted teeth ex vivo after canal instrumentation using the two engine-driven techniques utilizing nickel-titanium instruments (ProTaper and System GT). METHODOLOGY Forty extracted single-rooted human mandibular premolar teeth were used. Access cavities were prepared and root canals were then contaminated with a suspension of Ent...
